Dracaena

Dracaena is a genus of about 120 species of trees and succulent shrubs. It’s known for its long leaves that grow outward and up from a central stalk or cane, giving it a unique architectural element. Dracaenas are easy to grow, thriving in bright, filtered light and slightly acidic soil. They are native primarily to the Old World tropics, especially Africa. Some species can grow up to 20 feet tall in their native environments, but most remain under 8 feet tall when grown as houseplants.
