Snake Plant

The snake plant, also called mother-in-law’s tongue or Saint George’s sword, is a popular houseplant native to tropical West Africa. It gets its common name from its long, upright, sword-shaped green leaves with yellow edges that resemble the shape of a snake. This easy-care, evergreen perennial plant belongs to the Asparagaceae family and the Dracaena genus. Snake plants are hardy houseplants that require little maintenance while adapting well to a variety of light conditions. Their striking linear foliage provides an exotic, tropical look in any indoor space.
